Odyssey into 2012 Chapter 4: Training Zephyr

Kaylin wakes up in a white field, feeling Zephyr coursing through her. It is blizzarding, but Zephyr keeps the cold from blowing on her. As she looks around, she can see she's on a mountain side, and looking down she can see a great city in the distance. "Is that one of the cities we saved?" She thought.

That did not matter, she was already on the mountain, and the power of Zephyr was guiding her upwards. With no other choice presented to her, she began her hike-and-climb up the mountain. At least there was little snow and no wind in her way.

And exhausting hour later, she makes it to the top of the mountain, and she sees a small temple. Is this where Zephyr is guiding her? She keeps pressing forward, and enters the temple. Walking through a small corridor brings her to an old man sitting in front of a large fire.

"Welcome, Kaylin," he says.

"You know me?" she asks

"I know many things," he answers, "including that you need... assistance... in 'controlling' Zephyr for your battle with Darus... I shall assist you."

She smiles and nods, "Thank you."

She looks at her calendar... a full day before the next circled date.

Her training began immediately; mainly on channeling Zephyr's energy, attentive focusing, and becoming one with Zephyr. Kaylin was a very quick study, and under the old man's tutelage she was able to easily handle Zephyr's power, though not master. Her final lesson, the Zephyr Blade, was interrupted by a bolt of lightning tearing the Temple apart.

"DARUS!" Kaylin screamed.

All that was left of the temple was smoldering rubble, the old man nowhere to be seen. Darus had struck again.

Down below, she sees the gate opening, and she uses Zephyr to catch the Light Train, awaiting the next trial... and she would have to master Zephyr Blade on her own with only the basics known.
